In a special edition of You Gotta Hear This! Scott will be featuring a full play of the Rolling Stones' Exile on Main St.. Released in 1972, this 10th studio album from the band is seen by many as the culmination of their string of iconic LPs, Beggars Banquet, Let It Bleed and Sticky Fingers.
Hailed by some fans as their best album, the album reflects a heady mix of blues, rock, country and gospel. Recorded over a 2 year period, with some tracks layed down during the Sticky Fingers session in London, the bulk of the work took place in the basement a rented villa, with a mobile recording truck, while the band were in self-exile, in the south of France. Sporadic sessions and varying personnel gave the tracks a wild, party atmosphere and the dank murkiness of that basement come…
