Nina Simone was a singer, pianist, songwriter, and civil rights activist. Mostly known as a jazz singer, her music blended gospel, blues, folk, pop, and classical styles. No popular singer was more closely associated with the Civil Rights Movement than Simone.
Listen to a lead up selection of music and presentations from four-time GRAMMY® Award winning producer Cheryl Pawelski and five-time GRAMMY® Award winning engineer Michael Graves. They will present their 2021 restoration of Nina Simone’s Little Girl Blue. All music for this event will be played on our amazing C4RM sound system, brought in just for the show! Doors open at 6:30 pm.
